The Star Wars Rebels hype continues to build! Yesterday, Lucasfilm gave us a seven minute preview of the very first episode, and today they've given us a featurette that poses the question: what is a Rebel?
One thing that's funny to know that hasn't changed is the storm troopers non-existent shooting skills, which Sabine pokes fun at. The more I see of these characters, the more I love them.
There's some really interesting little tidbits of info in there...I really like how they keep giving little hints about these characters and the conflict they have with the Empire without giving anything away. It's surprising for me to learn that these guys aren't the true birth of the Rebellion that we see in Episodes 4, 5, and 6, but they become a big part of the overall rebellion against the Empire. I think that perfectly takes care of the conundrum as to where these characters are during the original trilogy since we never see them. Plus, the galaxy far, far away is a big place, so it makes sense that there would be other rebellion groups in the galaxy fighting the good fight against the Empire. Or perhaps they are part of the Rebellion, just away from the main group. We'll have to wait and see, which is getting harder and harder every day with all of these cool behind the scenes and sneak peak videos they keep showing off to us!
Star Wars Rebels will air this fall in October.
