New 'Rebels' Clip & Music, Official Soundtrack For 'Clone Wars'

Just when I thought we'd be getting a break from Star Wars Rebels, more cool stuff was released!  It's so good, it's almost torture, knowing we all have to wait a little longer to see the show!  Plus, Disney has thankfully not forgotten about The Clone Wars music that fans have been clamoring for.  Read on for details!

So first up, a new clip from the first episode:

This has me even more excited than the 7 minute preview!  This clip has a really fantastic Original Trilogy vibe, not just from the music and the camera shots, but the snappy dialogue as well.  Speaking of which, I love the back and forth banter between Hera and Kanaan; they've been described as kind of the mom and dad of this little group of rebels and this clip does and excellent job of demonstrating that.  Chopper's frustrations are pretty funny to watch, though I really can't blame him for being grumpy all of the time if this is the sort of thing he has to put up with!

This new clip looks like it takes place in the same scene as an older clip released in April at WonderCon; in fact, it seems that the exchange of dialogue seen in this new clip happens right before the old one:

And speaking of music, the main theme for Star Wars Rebels by composer Kevin Kiner has been released to YouTube.  It's very catchy and exciting, and I can't wait to hear the whole Rebels soundtrack!

And while on the subject of music, Kiner has also announced that Lucasfilm is putting together a CD soundtrack with music from all 6 seasons of The Clone Wars!

This is pretty cool, considering the only music from the show available up 'til now was the soundtrack from the Clone Wars movie and the music from the show that Kiner had posted to his web page that was free to listen to, but not available for purchase.  The music on his website was great, but there were only sixty tracks or so, and there was plenty of great music left out from some of the more prominent, later arcs in the series.  No word on if a digital download for the new soundtrack will be available, but even if it is just a CD, I know I'll be purchasing it!
