Nickelodeon Releases The Official Trailer For 'Legend of Korra: Book 3'

Well, that didn't take long!  I speculated yesterday about whether or not Nickelodeon would make us wait for an official trailer after some Korra episodes were accidently leaked, and not too long after that, the offical trailer hit the web.  And if you thought the fan trailer was awesome, wait 'til you see this one...it's even BETTER.

There's so many amazing things about this trailer!  First off, the music, composed by Jeremy Zuckerman, who has been composing for Avatar ever since the first series began back in 2005.  This trailer music just sounds so tense, like anything, even the unexpected, could happen at any given moment.  It's very appropriate, considering the name of the book is simply called 'Change'.

Considering that last season ended with the gates of the spirit world blown wide open, it seems that the world of the Avatar is about to change drastically.  Just look at all the airbenders!  Are they the result of the spirits now residing among humans once again?  Even Bumi, one of Avatar Aang's sons, who was not born a bender, appears to be airbending!  Speaking of bending, that's the best thing about this trailer.  There's bending everywhere.  More airbending, lava bending, the woman with no arms waterbending...all around the action just looks fantastic

Jinora looks to be continuing her spirit training (will we see her get her airbender tattoos this season?), we see more of the mysterious woman that looks like she could be Lin's sister, and of course ZUKOOOOOO!!  An appearance by Zuko alone would have made this trailer for me.

And now comes the long, agonizing wait for fall.  What did you think of the official trailer?

  1. Seems more action-packed and tightly knit than Book Two's trailer and story.
While I loved Book 2 (especially seeing the first Avatar, ever), there were some episodes that were just sub par in terms of its storytelling.

Book One had a really consistent level of story telling, and I hope that Book Three returns to that level.
